Ten designs, one kind of produce each: red and black plums, heirloom and cherry tomatoes, carrots, lemons, blueberries, red and green grapes, lettuces, strawberries, eggplants and figs. Each is cropped tight and shot straight on, so at stamp size it reads as a block of color first and a vegetable second. They come in self-adhesive booklets of 20, with no licking involved.

This is the set people buy when they want something cheerful on the envelope that is not tied to a season or a holiday. It works for recipe cards, farm stand and CSA mailings, thank-you notes after a dinner, and the ordinary bill-paying mail that has to go out regardless. Teachers use them on letters home for the obvious reason. Forever stamps hold their value against the one-ounce letter rate, currently 82¢, so a booklet that has been sitting in a drawer since the last increase is still a full letter each.
