How Many Stamps Come in a Roll

A standard roll holds 100 stamps, and roll and coil mean the same thing. USPS also prints some flag issues in coils of 3,000 and 10,000 for businesses that run mail through a machine.

A roll of 100 carries $82.00 in postage at the $0.82 one-ounce letter price set on July 12, 2026, per the USPS price list. It carried $78.00 before that date, and the stamps on it did not change.

That is how a Forever roll works: it is worth what 100 one-ounce letters cost on the day you mail them, not what it cost when it was printed. A 2018 US Flags roll still mails 100 one-ounce letters today with nothing to add.
