Global Chrysanthemum International First Class Forever US Postage Stamps

Global stamps are round, and that is the point - the shape and the word GLOBAL are there so nobody mistakes one for a domestic stamp. This one carries a photograph of a pink chrysanthemum by Hong Vo, designed by Greg Breeding with William J. Gicker as art director, and offset printed by Ashton Potter. It is self-adhesive with die-cut simulated perforations, so the circle has a scalloped edge rather than a clean cut. The Postal Service has issued one of these a year since the first appeared in 2013.

A Global Forever stamp is always worth the current international one-ounce rate for a machineable letter, to any country where First-Class Mail International goes. That is the useful part: rates to overseas destinations move often, and this stamp moves with them, so a sheet bought two rate changes ago still mails a letter today. People use them for family abroad, pen pals, university applications and postcards home. Sheets of 10 rather than 20.
