Winter Scenes Forever First Class Postage Stamps

Ten photographs of winter in the northern United States, issued in October 2020 out of Winter Park, Florida, which is its own small joke. The set runs through a deer, a northern cardinal, bare trees under a gold sky, a red barn with a wreath on it, a barred owl, a blue jay, another red barn under snow, a cottontail rabbit, a path through snowy woods, and two horses. Derry Noyes art-directed the group using existing images rather than commissioned art. They come in a double-sided booklet of 20.

The distinction that makes this set worth buying: it is winter, not Christmas. Only one design has a wreath in it, and nothing else in the booklet commits to a holiday. That makes it the right choice for cards going to a mixed list, for January and February mail after the holiday stamps are gone, and for anyone who would rather not put Santa on a business envelope. It is a double-sided booklet, so the twenty stamps sit ten to a side - worth knowing before you go hunting for the other half.
