How Many Stamps Are in a Book?
A standard book of Forever stamps holds 20 stamps. Some booklets are double-sided with ten stamps per side, and most repeat each design several times through the book.
One issue here breaks the pattern: Patriotic Spiral was sold in booklets of 10. Ten of its books make 100 stamps, and its lot sizes are counted that way.
For every other booklet here, five books equal 100 stamps. That is why the lot options read 5, 15 or 50 booklets for 100, 300 or 1,000 stamps.
How Much Is a Book of Stamps?
At face value, a book of 20 Forever stamps comes to $16.40, based on the $0.82 one-ounce letter price in effect since July 12, 2026, on the USPS price list. Before that date the same book was $15.60 at 78 cents a stamp.
Because a Forever stamp is always worth the current letter price, a booklet bought before an increase still covers the higher price. Older issues such as the 2019 US Flags booklets were sold at 55 cents a stamp and still mail a one-ounce letter today.
Christmas and Flag Stamp Booklets
Close to half the booklets here are holiday issues, sold in lots of 5 or more because a card list rarely fits in one book of 20.
Winter Scenes runs ten winter photographs through one booklet, from a cardinal and a barred owl to a red barn under snow, and only one design shows a wreath. For religious cards, a Madonna and Child booklet is here too.
Flag booklets handle year-round mail: US Four Flags prints FREEDOM, LIBERTY, EQUALITY and JUSTICE beneath a bright flag, four designs to a book.
